Rear window change

Post by Smartbear »

Thought today I would change out the damaged rear screen, bought a zip in replacement from eBay for around £70
Out with the old, using a plastic pry bar to ease the roof material from the window beading

After this was untucked all the way round it exposed a giant staple which I dug out & then separated the zip all the way round

Out at last

It helps to have somebody small to zip the new window in, we did this a few times until we got the zip started in the right place to centralise it

And the last bit!

After the window was in we just had to bond the roof material overlapping the window edging to form a watertight seal
Look at that concentration!

All done :)

Was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was as I had heard horror story's about it, took around an hour or so.
