Alarm query

Post by johnz3 »

When I turn on my alarm (2003 3.0i sport) the indicator lights flash. When I turn it off they do not. Is that correct please.

Ok, thanks. Must be the same for all. Just seems strange.

That's is the correct operation, one single flash when locking the car. If you get a double flash when unlocking it means the alarm has been triggered whilst you have been away from the car.

You can of course program the car to give a visual signal when unlocking as well as an audible signal when locking and unlocking.

Certainly correct for the later alarm with the buttons on the key. The will only flash on unlock if the alarm has been triggered since the car was locked.
