INSTRUMENT CLUSTER STRIP DOWN

Post by Southernboy »

I recently replaced the OEM black cluster dial face for a cream coloured face. below are photographs illustrating the procedure to strip the cluster into it's main assembly components. This is useful even if you just wish to clean the inner face of the plexiglass front window.

Looks good Barry, what made you go for the new face in MPH was there not any available with just KPH, would look neater.

Hi Hilton...Thanks for the compliment......Only MPH with the KPH on the inner... I guess I could have gone with a European supplier, but at around 4 - 5 times the price it was OTT and as you know the Rand is almost as valuable as toilet paper right now...

So this is definitely a job to do in the kitchen, given the amount of cutlery involved!

Have to agree with you regarding the Rand, went out to dinner last night with a mate who's out on holiday from the UK, we went to the Roma Revolving restaurant which is not cheap, the bill came to R2500.00 my mate thought it was a bargain and insisted on paying :D I suppose at 18:1 it is a bargain :head:

Don't get me started on the reasons for these currency disparities Hilton... We both know the economics here... :bad
