Can anyone recommend an INPA tester from Ebay as there seem to be loads of different one's and don't want to be stuck with one that's not going to work on the Z!

UK located avoid Chinese and Hong Kong postage takes ages if it ever arrives!!
Be aware that the software takes a massive amount of space up on your hard drive.
It insists it installs on the C: Drive so you can't install it on another drive you may have on your laptop.
Be aware that you will need the round diagnostic plug to connect to the supplied interface, they can supply this as well, read their description for details.
Best option would be to use on a laptop just for running this software on.

I have one of these and it works perfectly on Windows XP and Windows 7. Haven't tried it on 10 yet but the advert claims compatibility.
I also found that there was no path option when installing and it defaults to the C drive which is a minor inconvenience but if you are aware of that in advance you can ensure your drive is up to it before you begin installation.
As colb says make sure you buy from a UK seller it might cost £1 more but you have a better chance of receiving it and you will need the pacman circular plug adaptor to use on the socket under the bonnet. The OBDII connector under the steering wheel just has engine codes but this software can do so much more.
I'm not sure if the software has been revised but some of my modules appear in E46 and E39 menus. It's no deal breaker as the software communicates with the car it just means that not all of the modules are conveniently located in an E36/7 menu and can take a bit of finding at first. You will soon learn where to look!

Thanks for the quick replies , have ordered the same from ebay and have a spare laptop to load the software so hopefully this will work as the normal code reader id not recognised by the Z yet works fine on my son's Toyota.
