oil leak

well looks like the oil leak is coming from the upper timing case and dropping onto the steering rack , has anyone else had this and is it a big job ?any help appreciated

sounds like the M43 8 valve engine

I had this leak on my wife's 1.9 after the mobile mechanic did the head gasket.

There is a way to line up the top cam cover as follows:

Remove the rocker cover, then loosen all the bolts on the top cam cover.
Refit the rocker cover WITHOUT its gasket, and tighten it down, this lines up the cam cover and presses it down onto the seal. Now tighten the cam cover bolts.
Finally remove rocker cover again and this time refit it with its gasket
