Z3 roof half cover

Post by Koolflyer »

I know this topic has been covered (sorry) before, but has anyone bought a half cover recently and can recommend a particular type?

Thanks
KF

I have a Cabrio Shield cover. It is made from a heavy duty fabric and locks into the boot and door shuts and under the wiper blades and withstood all winter and the roof stayed dry. I took it off weekly to air the car and very pleased.

being sold on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z3-Car-Ho ... 1490093339

Just seen on their website there are 2 types mine must be the standard one.

Hi Brian

Thanks for that info. For the winter months I have a really good quality Hamilton's full cover which is brilliant, however as we are clearly not going to have a proper summer yet again, I'd like something I can put on quickly with not much fuss guarding against any prolonged rain like we have been having. I know some folks have bought cheaper with problems of scratching etc, but I assume this is not the case with your Cabrio Shield cover? :rtm:

No problem with marks as long as there is no grit/dirt where it touches the car paint. Can put it on in 5 mins or less. Was used when I got it but still fine, has faded a bit.

Sounds like its worth paying a little more as it seems pretty good.

Cabrio half cover arrived and fitted. So far really pleased with it. It fits perfectly and is really secure. Quality is also very good so I'm glad I paid a little more to get a good product. Ideal for this damp British summer :?
