Post by handsomejackuk »

Hi, I need some beige ./ tan leather only a small amount, can get exact size. its needed to re upholster the drivers seat bolster, does anyone have any laying about that would match the interior of my Z3 1998 ? or know of a good source of the correct colour, no rush but would prefer to get the correct or pretty near the original colour...

what is scuff master ?

really could do with either a passenger seat with good bolsters in beige, or a small piece of leather the same /similar size of a bolster, my uplhosleterer doesnt have the exact match i went to see him today he can do it no problem if i supply a matching colour...

"Scuff master" is leather dye which is supplied to exactly match the original BMW leather colours. Using this product means you can re-dye your entire seat so that they look like new again. Also, using a piece of beige leather which closely matches the original colour, then dying it with the scuff master product will result in a complete matching seat. So, you don't need to chase around looking for an original piece of leather - just dye it to match.
As an option, you can google Furniture Clinic" in the UK, and they also supply automotive leather dyes and colours specifically for BMW. In fact, you cn send them a small piece of your original colour, and they will match the dye 100% to that.
You can cut a small piece off from under the seat to send to them - that's if they don't already have your colour as an off the shelf product.
