I bought an armrest on eBay which originally came from a E36. I cut off the rear hinge section and removed the plastic under lining. Then using some spare wood I had knocking about and some vinyl, I made a support which fits into the centre console tray section. It fits nice and snug in the console so there is no need for any drilling. So it keeps it original if not in use. It has certainly made a difference to the driving comfort!

Re: I have been busy at the weekend!
Sadly with the technical issues I've had lately I didn't cover enough miles for my arm to need a rest...Looks good.

I'm normally allergic to non-factory mods. But I must admit this one might turn me
2001 Z3 2.2 Topaz Blue (Trudy) - Keeper rebuilt from a write-off
2002 Z3 2.2 Titan Silver (Cookies) - Keeper rebuilt having been bought with a seized engine
2002 Z3 3.0 Sapphire Black (Peanut) - Keeper awaiting rebuilding having been bought as an abandoned project
Plus Willy, Kodak & Maycee - All 2.2 Sport projects. Yes, 6 is a lot of Z3s
Always happy to try and help with spares
