I have the spinning door lock problem - which I know how to fix. But the spring/plate was not in the door void so I'm having to fit a replacement lock/handle unit I happen to have.
The problem is you need the original key to withdraw the barrel after the locking pin is removed. I don't have it as it was off a door from a salvage yard.
What's the simplest trick here? Drill it out? What size drill bit? With mechanism temporarily mounted in door for convenience while doing it?
