Steering wheel soft centred?

Post by Rodent » Tue 13 Jun, 2017 20:56

My steering wheel is soft centred. When I press it, I can depress it by at least 1cm around the bmw emblem in the middle. Is this normal or am I missing something......like an airbag?

Normal if the horn sounds when you press it

Yes, the horn does sound when I press the wheel. Sounds like all is ok, though the horn is very feeble.
Thanks for the help

You might find that only one of the horns is working if it's feeble.
