Gazza,
I imagine that the '8 previous owners' will put alot of people off!<a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%25 ... /page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_6_100.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%25 ... e.gif"></a>

With cars like these I never worry about the number of owners too much. They are like toys to many who buy them and so they often don't stay with the same owner for long. Mine had 5 previous owners when I bought it, and that was when it was only 3.5 years old. As long as service history is good then there shouldn't be too much to worry about, and there are a few decent warranty options about.

Agreed. These cars tended to change hands very quickly when first launched - many were shortlived toys for rich folk or bought as entirely unsuitable 'second cars'. 8 owners does seem high, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker. Often goes with the territory.

There is absolutely no reason to assume that. You'd need to inspect it in person to reveal that sort of detail. With a car on an S-plate you'd expect there to be some wear and tear etc.

theres just no way,you can look inside that engine,id never touch any car thats had 8 owners in less than 10 years,

although, the worst m i looked at when i was buying mine was at a main dealers, its was crap, and i mean crap,if you could get that 8 owner m for £8,000 ok that would be a bargine,

in the ebay avert, the seller has put around 30 pics, but not one under the bonnet pic ummmmmmm

Naturally no one would buy a car like that without inspecting it in person - that's the only point I was making. But assuming a car is rubbish just cos it has had a higher than average number of owners is a bit silly in my opinion. As previously stated, many of these cars changed hands very rapidly in their early life - probably cos buyers had no idea how powerful they were and / or they were bought as entirely unsuitable 'sporty numbers' for unsuspecting partners when an MX5 would have been more suitable.

It could also be classed as a summer car with owners selling it on after a summer. Not all owners are like ourselves and see it as an everyday car..

You only have to go back through our "stock exchange" section to see the reasons people sell. Mostly its down to needing to raise cash for house purchase or needing more room for an expanding family.

For most the Z3 and Z3M is a weekend toy and like all toys you either get bored or find it more an more difficult to justify in the face of other 'life expenses'.

There's a common rule that says NEVER assume anything, because assume stands for Ass u (you) me. Just becasue an add says all the right things doesn't mean its a good buy and just because the add is sloppy doesn;t mean you have anything to worry about.

Just read the advert. Think the guy selling is an old school salesman!

She just devours straights, is ready to punish any corner directed at her and makes a complete mockery of any slight curvature in the road that we tend to call corners in most other cars?
