Is a W reg M Roadster a 'facelift' car?

Post by texasjohn »

Also, I am currently searching to find out from what month and year onward the 'improved diff mount' was in production. I think it is sometime late in 1999 but if anyone reading this knows the answer readily please post!

Thanks kindly.

Yes there was a facelift S50 ///M from 04/99 production and that appears to be one of them

Mine is a facelift 07/99 production.

The telltales are:
-Soft top insulation upgraded (4/99 production)
-Chrome slats added to front "kidney" grilles (4/99 production)
-Chrome headlight surrounds added (4/99 production)
-Central locking upgraded to include the fuel door (4/99 production)
-Airbags upgraded to two-stage “smart” versions (4/99 production)
-Titanium Silver metallic (354) introduced in place of Arctic Silver metallic (309) (4/99 production)
-Oxford Green II metallic (430) introduced in place of Boston Green metallic (275) (4/99 production)

And yeplookslike Waitey's (I remember him posting those pictures on here). He's not had it that long and I don't think he's advertised on here?

You can do a search on his post as he posted quite a bit about it when he first joined

I know I thought the same, I must admint I prefer the two tone as there are not many cars you have the opportunity to get two tone leather so looks different. I would as far as say that non two tone looks more "bland" but that might be controversal :D
