Koni SSK suspension kit.. anybody used it?

Post by scott_johnson »

Hey all. As above really! I bought some PI lowering springs a few wweeks back as i had a snapped spring to put me on and id quite like a spring / damper combo... The rides ok now but slightly crashy and would deffinately benefit from some decent dampers...

Any body tried the Koni SSK?

What other spring / damper combo would you recomend??

1. You get excited when it's cold outside.
2. You fill up every three days.
3. The size of your grin is directly proportional to the amount of boost you’re on.

Check it out, but I think you will find that the front shock in the Koni kit is just an insert and you have to cut/modify your existing McPherson strut. Might be a bit more than your prepared for?

Koni's do get good reports though and seem to be a touch softer than the Bilstein.

Have recently put a deposit on a Koni pack. I understand that they are no longer an insert so no hacking is required. I would like to know if this is a fact or just a sales pitch. Does anyone have solid information regarding this?

I have used Koni from way back and they have always been excellent.

Regards.
