Use the Search button before posting newbie questions about hard tops and fitting kits, footwell speaker amps, water in the boot, hood maintainance and those horrific angel eyes. We get like 10 threads a week on the same subject, it's obvious that you haven't searched.

Awesome Love to see it run a 1/4 mile before and after.

When are you going to start the transfer?
It's only 10 weeks to Newby
I have just seen a nice V8 plate I like. If anyone will give me £400 for my S50 plate its sold!
The plan is to do the transfer over next winter. I have bought the engine a bit early so will just have to stare at it for now:-). I have saved lots on the current new price and can take my time buying the remaining parts I need hopefully via a few more ebay bargain listings. I need a T-56 or T6060 transmission, ancillaries, a controller kit, and some pipe bending tackle to make the manifolds and exhausts.
I will be keeping the engine standard to start with. With 3" exhausts it should make 450hp. Its the 580Nm of torque that appeals though. Heehee

So that's why you repaired your boot spot welds with RSJs
I remember you talking about the idea at Tatton last year, I'm chuffed its coming together for you (I guess you kinda commited now)
I hope your planning to keep a full diary of work, get that camera charged up

Top man ... you'll need a T56 box for it next.. assuming you have'nt got one already. If you have any questions regarding the install give me a shout.
Well done and welcome to the growing club of proper power... you'll not regret it for one minute. [/img]
I was trying to be funny with my post, trying to think of the most outrageous thing you could buy for your zed, never expecting you to actually have bought one!
Mind you, I do recall that you were paying close attention to snatch's build...
Cheers R.

Wow! That is a hell of an engine, my previous car was a C5 Z06 which was awesome, that fitted to your M is going to be a white knuckle ride.
Good luck with the installation.....I'm not surprised your M is looking a little nervous at the prospect of that huge lump being fitted..
hi i have some spares if you need any, pas pump, complete clutches, throttle bodies, ecus etc , careful which t56 you buy as some dont fit you can give me a ring if you like as ive done 3 m spec ls motor swaps and might be able to save you some time and money. it will be good though craig on 07950399080
Hi
That is some engine!! The way it is photographed it looks like it is far too big for the little Z in the background, and would end up sticking out the top like the 'funny cars' of my youth!! But I'm sure it will slide in without too much trouble. I had to look the engine up on Wiki, as it was new to me, and it seems to be much favoured by Holden down under and the VXR8 as well? It would turn a Z3 into some machine!! Far too much for me to handle - I'm still trying to learn to cope with 230 bhp!! That was twice as much as any car I'd owned previously had had!!
I wish you luck and I hope to see it in the flesh one day

It should be shorter than the straight six, just wider and although I'm not 100% sure, I think the V8 is lower too.
Seems to be a few of these conversions taking place now! Think it will make for an awesome power plant with effortless power on tap!!
