Cigarette Burn on Bonnet

Post by seasurfer »

:bawl: Ok, its not the zed, , but last night i came home to find that some little B****d had stubbed his cigarette out on the centre of my bonnet on the TT :bawl:

It has left two small burn marks, do any of you know what is the best way to remove it, if i can :bawl: :bawl:

As my friend just said, if they had done that on the zeds roof, it could have gone through it :bawl:

Hi Gill

Sorry to hear about your problem. It's extremely irritating but representative of the attitude of some people in this Country. Irresponsible vandalism like this rates alongside the actions of narrow minded company car owners and arrogant parents who think nothing of throwing their car doors open against your car, causing those irritating 'car park' dents.

I reacted to some woman who opened her car door against the side of my daily driver at the shops a few weeks ago and she actually asked why I was getting so wound up about my car!!!! Dozy tart!!!!

Try this;

It is a bit more abrasive than SRP, but nowhere near as damaging to modern paintwork as T Cut.

If the damage is too bad, you may either need to resort to a smart repair by someone like Chips Away or a respray of the bonnet.

Good luck!!

Thanks alot Mouldy, much appreciated.

Never had any trouble here at all, with anything, and it was the only evening we had been out in for months. Hopefully i will be able to reduce the colour or better still remove the colour.

Sorry to hear that Gill.

We have nuters over here as well, but they seem to stick to the major cities.
I hope that you can get it easily sorted out, without to much hassle.

Other wise, a quick tip, go on a cruse with swamper, and his insurance will cover it.

Sorry to hear this Gill :( I would delight in stubbing any cigarette out on the culprits eyeballs

If its scorched the clearcote then a machine polisher with a mild cutting compound might do the trick but depends on the scorching, just be wary not to go down to paintwork.

Hope you get it sorted.

Tim.
