Any recommended leather Cleaner/Conditioner?

Post by TWO »

Just cleaned the Zed's leather seats with Meguiars 'Gold Class' Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner and was amazed at the amount of surface grime removed.......despite religeously wiping the interior over once a week with a clean cloth :o

The seats now feel greasy....not sure if I have to leave the Conditioner/Conditioner to dry a little longer before a final wipe over.

I'm just interested to see if there are any other cleaners that members would recommend. :puzzle:

Gliptone is fantastic stuff and leaves the leather looking great after cleaning and conditioning. Brings back the matt look instead of horrible shiny leather and the conditioner leaves a fresh leather smell too :D

Another vote for Gliptones from me. Seperate cleaner and conditioner works better in getting the grime out of the leather and then the conditioner replaces the natural oils leather requires to keep supple but without leaving a shiny finish and the bonus is a lovely smell of new leather.

I bought the Meguiars 'Gold Class' as well, it left my leather slippery and shiny for about 2 weeks afterwards.

It did seem to soak in eventually though, even on the passenger seat which wasn''t sat in in that time.

It does sound like we bought the wrong brand though!

Wow that is cheap, I need some more conditioner but at that price might as well get both andput the cleaner in the cupboard (or give it to the wife). :D

I have only used the Auto Glym products for the leather seats and have been happy with the results but I have a few mates (well a couple) who swear by the gliptone stuff and their cars are mint.

Surely best to pass her the Gliptone and a cloth? Much easier... 8-)
