The softtop needed a clean, so i used the opportunity to purchase Autoglym fabric cleaner / protector, as recommended by various people.
Step 1: Used water to slightly dampen the roof
Step 2: Agitate water all over the roof with sponge
Step 3: Cover plastic rear screen with paper/masking tape
Step 4: Spray the cleaner on roof, agitate...leave to soak in
Step 5: Used water to get all the soap out + wipe windows/bodywork to ensure none of the soapy liquid got on the car
Step 6: Leave to dry, then spray with protector.
Step 7: Remove masking tape + paper from rear window!
Here are some pics of water beads sitting on top of the fabric. Nothing less than beautiful

step 3 cover plastic window
step 5 doesn't water run down the back window whilst rinsing?
I have this stuff on my shelf, always been concerned about the masking and the bodywork
I see you have lovely beading, did it also enhance the original colour

Just make sure you don't get the proofer on the glass or paintwork as it dries like varnish.

You should vacuum the roof before Step 1 or at least brush it. That could be step 0.5.
