Making the most of your bank holiday?

Post by RichP »

I'm guessing a lot of people here have used the :sunny sunny :sunny bank holiday wisely and given their Z a good wash? time to get rid of that nasty road salt.

Who's is shiniest, lets see your bank holiday cleaning pics...

Heres my effort from today, just a basic wash and polish. :D

Washed mine today, straightforward Turtle Wax and Shine shampoo. Also did wheel arches and water jetted underside. No time left to polish but during drying off inspection have `gained' a lot of swirl marks that need attention - busy time ahead.

They have old fashioned yellow bits and look cloudy and old compared to yours.

you could always clean the headlights lens up and removed the indicator lens ...but on a coloured car i think the orange looks good...nice bit of contrast ...on a silver car they look rubbish and need to be removed ..jmo

What do you use to clean it? It seems like its cloudy on the inside, can they be taken apart and cleaned thoroughly?

Very nice!

Looks like a nice drive in snowdonia there. I'm a bit north of that, so we tend to go around Anglesey area.

I'm always impressed how shiny z3's are, even compared to brand new cars.

Gave mine a wash yesterday and a quick coat of Autoglym SRP and then a bit of cheap fast wax for now until it gets a proper detail. It was only washed on Friday, but after about 360 miles in it on Saturday it was filthy again. Looks a little better now though :)

Spent more time driving mine than cleaning it. It did get a wash on Saturday, but the weather was too good on Friday to miss:

I've not had the time (or inclination) to take the hardtop off yet, as it is stored in my FILs garage and takes a bit of coordination to get it done.

Yes, it is the Lakes. I went up to see my folks for Easter. First one is by Dungeon Ghyll and the others are taken from near Langdale Youth Hostel.

Moz - when posting pics from Tapatalk, elect to have Tapatalk host them and not the forum - we don't have the space to host everyone's pics, so you are just using Tapatalk in the same way that you would use Photobucket/Flickr/etc. when posting from a web browser.
