Yes....Not too hot a wash, non biological powder and no more that 800 spin speed, and don't have the iron on the hottest setting...Southernboy wrote:...I'd like to remove the hood liner for cleaning....any special knowledge needed ??

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

.... Sorry Flo, my question was about directions for removing it out the car...
Re: SOFTOP HOOD LINER REMOVAL
Just reading the instructions on TIS and quite involved especially getting it back together I can print them off and post if you want, when yours are not on strike!!
Why do you want to take it off can't you clean it in situ? Wouldn't one of your local car detailers be able to steam clean or something?
Yours is going to be cleaner than when it was built, keeps the pictures and inspiration coming.

That was encouraging Althulas... the guy in the link didn't get to fit it !!
From what I've read in the instructions sent by Brian, one may as well replace the hood at the same time!
The suggestion of having a "steam clean" by a valet company seems the most likely and sensible option at this time. The hood will be on my list of items to replace...but that will be later in the year...( winter)...I'll do the liner washing thing at that time.
