Valve/Rocker Cover Refurbishing

Post by David »

Hi All,

I've be researching stripping back my valve cover to refurb it whilst it is removed to replace the gasket, and it looks like hte best way to remove all the old pain/gunk is to use Rust-oleum's 'Aircraft Remover' (they clearly forgot the 'paint' part, and just kept on without it). This stuff looks incredible on countless YouTube videos, but I can find any UK retailers.

What is the next best alternative? I haven't read good reviews on Nitromors...

FInally: Polished or resprayed? :)

Found this photo of TitanTim's, and it has convinced me to try out Gunk first.

Always give the engine bay a weekly once over with Areospace 303 or Autoglym's Vinyl and rubber care to keep it shiny.
