Alittle tip on preventing / curing the "heel hole" in front of the accl pedal on the floor carpets.......
Place a 6mm x 250mm x 150mm piece of mdf under the carpet which will prevent the removable carpet from being depressed into the fitted floor carpets....

Another option might be a sturdy mouse mat. Freely available if you work in an office....

Re: HEEL HOLE IN FLOOR CARPET
In my Skoda I used a 6 inch square of 1mm aluminium sheet fixed with evo stik. 70k miles and no hole. I had an elderly VW Passat which had such a huge hole right through the carpet and sound deadening I had to fill it with builders expanding foam.
My current problem is that my Z3 came with OE mats but no fixings, best UK price I can find is circa £10 each.

The carpet fixings might be found complete with mats from Andy (aka Spurs fan in a coupe) for £10 each, which will at least 1/2 your cost....... PM him and ask...
