BMW Show, Santa Pod, Sun 19/9/10 *UPDATE - 18/09/10*
I organised a zroadster area at the show last year and am keen to do so again. Show details are here: http://www.bmwshow.co.uk/ There are some pics of last year's event here: http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20767 and the previous year's event (when we didn't have a stand) here: http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18126
Those who have been before will vouch as to how good the show is due to the number and varied types of enthusiast owned BMWs on display. Make a date in your diary for this one - I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
We'll need 10 confirmed cars to get our stand. I'll coordinate this but you need to pay me your entry money in advance and as soon as possible. The entry fee is £13 per person (this will ensure we cover the booking fee too - anything left over will go towards the running of zroadster.net). Register your interest on this thread and I'll pm each of you with payment details.
*UPDATE - 16/09/10*
For those that want to meet up prior to the show and arrive at Santa Pod in convoy we will form up at Tesco's in Wellingborough at 7:30am
<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... "></iframe>

Can u add me + 1 plzzzz, are people camping over...last time i went i did n it was a r8 laff!!! kinda unsure whether the generator will fit in my boot thow for the hairdryer n straightners :(
a work colleague of mine goes regular and says there is a good ' holliday inn' type place nearby with pub etc. we were thinking of doing something along those lines. not sure if night before or night after though. maybe both think w4tkins + partner were thinking same too. more the merrier.
Please help. The money will go to a good cause. email me for the link to my fundraising page.

just been looking on santa pod website , no not sad being up at this time but actually working kind of. anyhow it says camping is free on the saturday night sept 18th if your there all weekend. saturday being a race what you bring day and sunday being the BMW show day.
for me i think i'll be staying here on the saturday night as recommended by a workmate £62 for 2 adults and a beefeater on site and only short walk into wellinborough town centre. sounds ideal. then no need for a generator for my straighteners
anymore takers?

Re: Camping
Mrs Canman not that keen on camping and besides were posh in Rotherham . serious though am told the facilities are poor for camping and we wont be doing saturday just sunday. i do think camping would be a laugh especially watching you girls put up your Pink tent .barbie_princess08 wrote:CANMAN!!!! its the Hotel for us and the pubs in Wellingborough.

.. and Lenny Henry for entertainmentCanman wrote:thats us and W4tkins in the hotel. ahhh those warm comfy beds, nice meal out, chilled beers and wine
Don't forget, breakfast is on top of the £62 and IIRC is £8/head
However, the Premiers are usually good VFM and as you say havea pub next door
And remember, there's no such thing as bad beer, just some that's better than others

A true yorksire man, always after a bergain. Well done that manCanman wrote:Terry , there is also an Adsa across the road that has a cafe and does breakfast butties etc. much cheaper than the £8 premier breakfast.
looking forward to the event and meeting fellow zedders yet again.
But the real definition of a yorkshire man is a glasweegen with the generosity squeezed out of him!!!!!
Will be a laught thought. Any more takers on a nice pub meal and a few scoops in a local pub???????

There is no Asda at all in Wellingborough, The shopping complex on the opposite side of the road only has a Pizza Hut along with B&Q, a couple of carpet shops, Dreams, a pet shop & Dunelms no other food apart from the burger van. There is a Tesco's with a cafe in the next complex half a mile further on, there's a KFC there too along with a bowling Alley (where I go most mornings) The Town centre is a mile or so down the road from the Premier InnTitan wrote:I think Canman means opposite the Premier Inn ?Geoff H wrote:There is no Asda opposite but there is a Pizza Hut and a burger van most weekends
sorry guys , having never been im only going on what a colleague is telling me. so guess its Tesco cafe not Asda. still it'll be cheaper than the £8 premier one. alternatively find the nearest Macdonalds as they are everywhere.Geoff H wrote:There is no Asda at all in Wellingborough, The shopping complex on the opposite side of the road only has a Pizza Hut along with B&Q, a couple of carpet shops, Dreams, a pet shop & Dunelms no other food apart from the burger van.
