boot panels z3m coupe

Post by darthtoplar »

hi guys its been ages since i been on the forums, well posted anyway.
i am cleaning and checking for any probs on my coupe, and getting round to some minor repairs. ie silly e36 door handle replacement/regreese, electric windows, bulbs for heater controls etc etc. while i got her in my garage and am on with it, i gonna go round most thing checking and cleaning.
anywho to cut a long post as short as poss..........

how the hecky thump do you remove the panel in the boot which covers the wheel arch (drivers side).

its the 1 with the cargo strap clips/bars to secure loads.
i have removed the cover positioning bracket on tail gate, got floor panels up, got the cover and dog screen box out, undone the panel below the window.
i have removed the panel clip just below the window, but it appears to be solid around the cargo strap point, i tried removing the cargo point thingy but dont want to damage it, iam only gonna move it slightly to the left so i can check the top of the suspension for tightness and water ingress, i thought it would be a 5 min job, gone dark now (grrrr winter) and guess who carnt find his torch!!!!!!!!!

i have searched the net for a few hours and carnt find a how to. something with pics would be ace, but i can follow written instructions.

Hi have you tried giving a bmw specialist a call and ask them might be another option?

hi corky, i havent changed them yet, and by all accounts, its a proper hard work job to do.
its on my list, but after i have done the sticking door handles and windows.. if you do a search there is a walkthrough (somewhere) i couldnt find it quickly to link it for you. i will have a look later tonight when i got some time.
