Hi Everyone,

Just joined zroadster.net; got our 2 CITP tickets and bought our 2.8 2000 "Facelift" Zed this week (replacing much missed 1987 E30 M3 and stablemate for 1997 MX-5 1.8iS and '54 525i).

Saw many of you at last year's Newby anf Harewood meets, but will see you there on 22nd, as we live locally.

Cheers,

The latest count on the www.carsinthepark.org.uk website is 135 cars booked to attend.
This includes 29 Z-roadsters, but I have 30 listed on the first post of this thread! Has someone not yet booked?
It is pleasing to see that at the moment the Zeds are leading the TVRs for a change.

PS. It is time to start polishing.

Hi Rob and welcome to the forum
There will be meetings at Ferrybridge, Wetherby and Boroughbridge (it's a bit like the Pied Piper :D) before a convoy into Newby.
Feel free to join anywhere you want - just let us know so that we know where to expect you.

There are a few on the list for Ferrybridge that did the run from there to Wetherby last year but last year it all went a bit pear shaped when we left Wetherby to go to Boroughbridge.

As there seem to be a few "locals" on the list does anyone want to spend an hour or so having an evening Ferrybridge - Wetherby - Boroughbridge run :?: I'm around this weekend and any evening after that.

I'll try and find the details from last year and post them up.

I'd be happy to meet up in Ferrybridge for your journey north if I'm free.

Leaving hotel @ 08:30 = arrival at Ferrybridge around 08:36 perhaps it should be first one to arrive buys the coffees :D'

Or is it really leave hotel @ 08:30, arrival at Ferrybridge around 08:36, Quick detailer 08:36 to 08:45, vacum, polish wheels, etc, etc by 09:00

Or is it really leave hotel @ 07:30 taking ZC's just-popping-out-to-the-shops-route and arriving at 09:05 covered in fly splat and looking to re-fuel :?:

Maps Ferrybridge - Wetherby - Boroughbridge

Post by Zed Carer »

Below are links to the Ferrybridge/Wetherby and the Wetherby/Boroughbridge routes.

When we leave Ferrybridge it is the 5th exit from the roundabout - we're not going to do 5 laps like Jonttt did

Just before Aberford village there is a long wide straight section of the old Great North Road and we'll pause there to get into one group for the run through the village.

If you at the Milford Great Western then the clue is in the address:
BEST WESTERN Milford Hotel
Great North Road, Peckfield, Leeds, West Yorkshire
LS25 5LQ

Great North Road = A1 (now superseded by the A1(M))

Multimap shows 6.4 miles and 9 mins but I'm sure that you can beat that :D
