Thanks for that Jamezee, at least we got a bird's eye view, after all!

Problem was we discovered the post about 1am, then spent an hour & a half watching it and several others that were equally fascinating. :o

We will go back and look at the others at a more decent hour!

Excellent footage. I've still got the flypast on the Sky box  .

It's a shame that we weren't there to see them take off. Our cars might have been in the film at the beginning :D .

At last I managed to get my Dad to see the Lancaster in flight after the no show at Conningsby
We were treated to a number of fly pasts by the Spitfire, Lancaster and Tornado today at Chatsworth....brilliant
The last time my Dad saw one in flight was in the very early 50's when he was in the raf :D

A "behind the scene" shot at Coningsby for those that like this sort of thing.

Image

It had a new engine fitted and was being ground tested. What you can't see in the photo (and I wish I'd spotted it in time) there was another Spitfire behind this one that broke its tether and started moving across the taxiway being blown by the spit you see in the photo. I would have taken a photo of it but was too busy pissing myself laughing. :roflmao:
