Northern BMW Festival at Tatton Park
Knutsford, Cheshire - Sunday 15th July 2012
tattonpark.org.uk wrote:Tatton Park once again plays host to the largest gathering of BMWs in the North of England. Concourse competition, a huge Show & Shine competition, BMW race cars on display, register displays, plus the new MINI Register, cars for sale, specialist trade stands, auto-jumble etc., there is something for everyone, and all BMW owners are welcome to join the fun. With a children's fairground and all the attractions that Tatton has to offer, it's a fun day out for all the family. Call 0161 678 2088 or visit http://www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/ for more information

10am - 4pm, Adults £2, children under 16 free. car entry charge applies.
This is our annual outing to the BMWCC event at Tatton Park and is one of the few BMWCC events that you can exhibit at without being a member of the club.

More info on Tatton Park and BMWCC. Some pics from previous years here; 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, and 2007.

Pre-Show Meet
This will be at Booths in Knutsford between 9.15 and 10.15 am. Bacon butties and sausie sarnies are available from 9.30 and we will leave in convoy for the show at 10.15.

The Show
The show is a BMWCC organised event which is open to non-members. We normally occupy an area marked out specifically for "Z" cars. There should be some trade stands, a coffee bar and a marquee. There is not an awful lot in the way of food at the show, so if you want snack, please bring them with you. Directions to Tatton Park can be found here. There is a small entry fee for the show as well as the park entry fee of £5.

How to take part
Please post up your interest here and I will maintain a list of whom we are expecting to attend as we need to tell the organisers roughly how many cars we are bringing.

Normally Robert T does all the organisation for this event but is not attending this year due to other commitments so I have posted this thread to see if we get any interest. Rob also organises a bimble and evening meal but we will leave this out this time as there is not many who plan attending, but if people want to meet up at Booths as usual prior to the event for bacon butties etc, then please indicate this with a BB and we can get something organised as well.

I know with zedfest being 1 week later and most people preparing for this we may not get much interest but it would still be nice to get as many zeds as possible.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

I should be able to make this. Are we meeting at Booths again for breakfast?

Yes we can meet at Booth's before hand, I will update the op with details of this. Does anyone know the route normally taken from Booths to Tatton?

Just had an email to say that this has now been CANCELLED, due to Tatton Park being waterlogged.

Shame as the weather over the weekend was great, warm and sunny with a bit of rain last night. Bit a bit wet today but certainly nothing major, I suppose what rain had already fallen and with this week's forecast not looking great they've cancelled it, but would be a shame if the weather turns out better than forecast this week!
