Found this in the boot yesterday............................ :arrow:

curious, never seen it. the other side is flat, plain plastic?

It fits in the holes where the hard top fitting kit is sited.
If you have a hard top it is located at the back by 2 fairly hefty lugs which fit into 2 holes. When removed the part you show masks the holes.
Sapphire black/Imola red and black interior/ red roof/ S54 - the only RHD one made.

Could it be the cover for the positive on top of the battery ?

The part number suggests it is a anti slip cover 8 413 620? never seen this before?

I'm with Brian on this, as my hardtop trim and rotating cover look nothing like that!

There are very likely some numbers embossed on the back of it alongside the BMW logo. Post them up and we will soon tell if Brian is right.

Brian, how long did you spend looking for that! :shock:

I confess I looked at the original image :oops: , number embossed on the back, typed into BMW fans and hey presto :)

I have never seen this on my Zed though :?:

You have better eyesight than me, is all I can say!!

I have no idea what the part is for, though it seems to only apply to post-facelift cars and mine is pre-facelift, so I wouldn't have seen it anyway.

Yep - part 35 was the one I was referring to.

The Anti Slip part it is then ............................ Hmmmmm

are you all mad, you can plainly see its a wooden laminate table of some kind :twisted:
