Bought a Z3 in Impala brown
Bought a Z3 in Impala brown
Hi Folks,
I'm new to the forum so hello from me.
I was wondering if there is a way of finding out how many Impala brown Z3's are registered in the UK, would someone at a BMW dealer have this info?
I love the colour, the missus hates it, she says I've just added 20 years to my age driving that thing.
That's good because the alloys will remain nice, and I won't have to keep moving the drivers seat.

Re: Bought a Z3 in Impala brown
Welcome! Really nice colour, it reminded me of a colour Ford used to do called Roman Bronze Metallic, which was nice. I've never seen a Zed in this colour in real life though.
Mine is Serling grey, but my other half doesn't drive it, which isn't a bad thing at all in my view.. I remember what happened to the alloys on an Astra we had....
I've just noticed that you're in Cambs.. I work all over Cambs most days, where are you?

I knew it was rare, but intrigued to know just how rare now as some people have never seen one.
There's a few pics on google images but they all look like cars in the US.
I'll take some pics when the sun comes out.
Re: Bought a Z3 in Impala brown
Hi and welcome.
Yes, please, pics are always welcome.
When I bought my Bright Red Z, the seller claimed in the ad it was a rare colour, but there's plenty around (at least for sale, I haven't seen that many other Zeds). But your colour appears to be rather unusual. It seems to suit the car, though.
A few pics might help to set the trend.
Boosh.

My Missus doesn't drive Z3lda..........I don't let her ..... But it was a cheaper premium to put her on the insurance!lebigmec wrote:Welcome! A tan hood would really set off this body colour - I have just fitted one to my Boston Green - looks good (I will try to send photos when I can )

I am in Peterborough, so I shall keep a beady eye out too.

Ah great, some local fellow owners to me.Z3andZ4 wrote:I am in Peterborough, so I shall keep a beady eye out too.
I'll look out for details of any local meets.
I can't take any pictures yet as the car is in a garage having the handbrake repaired along with a cam sensor, missing it already, had planned to give it a thorough clean and polish this week.
Re: Bought a Z3 in Impala brown
Must say I thought the idea of a brown Z3 was pretty awful, but I typed in BMW Z3 Impala brown on google and there are lots of images. It's not really the kind of chocolate brown I was expecting, more a bronze colour which looks good especially with the tan roof (top right photo) as suggested on here.So nice one, seems very rare,I certainly haven't seen one here or abroad.Wonder how many there were and where most were sold?Anybody else seen one in the UK?
Re: Bought a Z3 in Impala brown
I know of one in New Zealand, that belongs to Sweetpea, though she hasn't been on here in a while, so not sure if she still has it.
