Asc switch

Post by lacedr »

Does anybody know what switch should be fitted to my 97 1.9 and what colour wires it should have going to the connector block.
the reason for asking is my car has a switch fitted but not connected so am not sure if i have the correct one or not.
cheers

Just had a look on OEM site and parts listing for a 09/98 model shows the switch as an option if stability control is fitted to the car as an option so maybe yours didn't get built with that option and someone has added the switch in the blank space it would have had?

Might be worth looking to see how it left the factory by looking up your car on
http://bimmer.work/
to see the build options for your car based on its VIN number using the last 7 numbers.
Mine has ASC switch and is connected and works however on the build options its not listed, mine is a 1999 model

If the sticker on the ABS control until (attached to the pump) is still visible, then it should say ASC if you have ASC.
