Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
For sale.
My pristine show winning 2002 Z3 3.0 M Sport.
Mileage 56,000 with comprehensive history file. Recent full service including coolant, brake fluid, spark plugs, gearbox oil etc.
Topaz Blue with cream leather/black interior. Beautiful combination.
No seat bolster wear. Carpets like new, overmats since new.
Hard top, tonneau, wind deflector, four new tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1)
No stone chips to front at all. Bumper and bonnet resprayed at BMW dealer. (Photo record in history file) Engine bay, interior and boot to show standard. No surface rust on fasteners or bolts. Chrome side gills (originals included if you prefer them)
Cruise control.
Working aircon, recently serviced. When tested it had only lost 15% of gas in four years.
Never taken out in the rain. Even the suspension is clean! Just had a new windscreen (done at BMW with genuine screen) due to a scratch on the glass, which had been polished out and left a slight imperfection.
I only use the car for shows so it's a bit wasted. (Pictures available of the car at various shows) I decided to sell it and buy a RIB with trailer.
Hood working manually. Previous owner fitted the hardtop but did not use the add on BMW harness so disconnected the microswitch in the hood. Needs the harness fitting and the proper HRW switch which l have, but you have to remove the rear trim completely to get to the wiring.
Hood will work if you short out the microswitch connector. I just used it manually as it enables me to put a towel over the rear window so it doesn't get scratched!
Price £8,000 including hard top.
Currently on SORN as it's never driven in the winter salt!
MOT expires in April. If you are interested l can take it for an MOT, you can come along and inspect the car while it is up on the ramp.
As l know the garage and use them a lot for my Land Rover Defenders (l have two Defenders a 90 and a 110)
I can email or Whatsapp photos if you give me your details.

I see, a cheeky bit of Zed hoarding. Nothing wrong with that! A car like this will only ever go up in value so win win I suppose.

That is a seriously nice car. Just love the colour combination, Lotusweiss in good condition is so nice.
Re: Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
The car is still available!
Probably the wrong time of year to sell. The boat and trailer idea has been shelved! I fancy an older car. Looking at Alfa GT Junior and Lancia Fulvia.
As l rarely actually drive the Z3 and it needs nothing doing, another project will make sense.
The Z3 has a large history file with receipts and letters from previous owners who l contacted plus service history etc. It's had new discs and pads all round as well as four new tyres. There's no rust in the usual Z3 areas such as the outer sills, fuel tank straps and brake dust shields. The wheel nuts are not rusty.
There's no issues with the diff mounting in the boot floor (a common problem with the 3.0/M versions). Being a later 3.0 it has more spot welds in this area.
l took off all the wheel arch liners when l got it and Waxoyled everything.
There's no play in the driver's seat runners. The spare wheel is not rusted. Even the door tread plates are unmarked...and the tool kit/cloth BMW rear window cover are all present.
At the last car show l won a cup for "best modern classic".

Re: Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
If this had a Beige interior and wood trim It could well be sitting in my garage! But I would have to get over the fact it's an ass lift.... Also, I can't be unfaithful to my Z3lda..... It certainly is a jewel of a Z3 though.
Bonzo.

Re: Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
Yes at the moment it is. Passed the MOT today with no advisories.
I think it's a bit early in the year to sell!

Currently nobody wanting to view the car at the asking price.
I have decided to take it off sale for the time being.

Re: Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
Did you just advertise it on the forums or anywhere else? As most people on the forums already own a zed then you are unlikely to get any viewers and for those elsewhere then unless they are specifically looking for your model and spec, then there are too many other cheaper ones about at the moment. There would be no harm in leaving it up for sale, but be prepared to wait a while for a sale on a car like that as there is only a very limited amount of buyers in the market for your example.

No just on here and another Z3 forum.
It's at the higher end of Z3 prices, but if anybody had been to look at it they would have bought it.

Re: Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
The problem is getting people to come and look at it, especially with the high price as there is too many other cheap ones around.
I had it with my 2.0, the condition was pristine but I couldn't price it high because no one would even bother to enquire yet alone come and view. The guy who came to buy it couldn't believe the condition and said he had looked at many other tatty zeds and mine was by far the best. It sold straight away, but it took ages just to get that one viewer. The guy got a bargain, I could have got a lot more but could have been waiting months and months so I was happy to see it go, plus it more than paid for my new one which I picked up for a bargain.
It will sell, but it could take months but you need to advertise it elsewhere. Mine went though Gumtree, worth putting it on there as it doesn't cost to advertise.

Re: Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
Is it worth approaching a specilaist who would sell it on their forecourt on a "sale or return" basis? They will obviously take a fee, but it would get more people looking at it if they are browsing other cars.
Re: Z3 3.0 M Sport for sale
That's a great idea.
