Aircon compressor question

Post by lightning »

I've noticed that my aircon compressor cycles on/off rather than running continuously when l am in slow moving traffic.
So it will run for maybe twenty seconds then turn off for twenty seconds then run again etc.
l wondered if this was normal. I can't say what it does at higher speeds such as on the motorway as you can't tell, but the aircon is certainly blowing cold air well enough.
I had it regassed this year as it had not been done for a few years. Before topping up they said it was at 85% so barely needed doing.

That's pretty normal - I think all my cars do it.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
