Well, heard back direct from Alpina, and KSK regarding the rim questions. RLE came with 17 x 8, offset 22mm. Each was individually numbered, and replacement was contingent on them getting the number of the rim you were replacing to sell you another one. Alpina would not comment on fitment of the 16x...

I had thought mistakenly or forgot I knew otherwise.... whatever... I thought Alpina no longer made the 16x8 rims. After talking to a distributor in the US, I hear that WAS once true...but they make them again. I knew from here on the Z1 list that no more of the 17 inch rims in 4 bolt pattern for us...

Well, even more information coming to light. Lee at MassiveBrakes.com has a friend who ran a V8 powered E30 for years and years with a simple machined sleeve over the stock spindle, and then using upgraded bearings and E30M3 hubs in front. This has some appeal to be sure. Have not heard anyone else ...
