Re: Pirelli 225.45.16

Interesting interview on classic cars and new "older style" tyres, with Pirelli content. Michael, interesting and good choice of Yoko AD08 R's for a Z1. They are very popular with Lotus Elise / Exige people and I will use them to replace the current Yoko AO48 LTS semi slicks on the Exige S, which wi...

Re: Pirelli 225.45.16

Douglas at Longstone Tyres spent a lot of time talking to Pirelli regarding the reintroduction of period sized Pirelli Cinturatos and, very recently, the 15 inch P700-Z for the Audi Quattro boys. Maybe they will add the Z1 to their classic BMW list. https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/pirelli-cinturato...

Whoever bought this will probably need a new set of OEM P700-Z tyres. Given Felix experience I am not sure I would want to drive the car which is still on its original 28 year old tyres.

Small problem, easily fixed.

I had a similar issue when recently fitting a new lens unit. The supplied length of grey square rubber seal was slightly too small in terms of length when fitted leaving a 5 mm gap. Sounds a good car, (unlike the Chilli Red ones), hope it sells well given the low estimate and mileage.

I see the auctioneers are still showing it as a 4 cylinder car in the summary which may suggest it does not have its original 6 cylinder engine.
