TRACKER problem
HI I'm talking about the firm called Tracker, selling tracker devices for many years. When I bought my Z3MC in 2005, it was already fitted with a Tracker, so took over the cover and paid for lifetime cover (£325), for the duration of my ownership. 13 years on, I thought it might be worth checking wi...

Re: bmw z3m analogue clock Not working
From memory, a new one still available from main dealers, and is about £200 +, but that might have been net of a trade discount. That is an appalling figure. I came across a 'cure' on here, or on the MCoupe forum a few years ago: 1) take the clock out. 2) fill the inside with something akin to WD40 ...

An interesting bit of signage, on the A380 at Newton Abbot heading for Torquay. There is a small village called Kingskerswell between Newton Abbot and Torquay. The 380 is dualled, but it goes down to a single carriageway flyover at the (Penn Inn) roundabout/junction for Newton Abbot, then it goes ba...

I didn't have a good experience with an expensive Hamilton car cover. Within a few months of buying it, I found that every time I took it off, it was wet underneath. This was in a rather wet autumn. I spoke to one of the Hamilton staff at the NEC classic car show, and he fobbed it off with "it ...

Hi My son was selling his E46 M3 (still is actually). Had a buyer all set to come down to Devon from London to buy it - coming by train, quite a confident potential sale. Before I bought my MC, I looked on various forums as they give you an excellent insight into owners' thoughts about the vehicle. Re: Easy MOT history check for any car
A few years ago, I bought an M3. I ran the check and found that it had failed the MOT a week or two before, on grounds of a cracked alloy. I gave the salesman some grief over it and he told me that it was because the wheel had been kerbed! He rabbited on about it being a broad heading. At that point...

Walloped? A mere flesh wound..
No it was the nearside front, I took it off and you could barely see the dent; but it was mentioned as an advisory so it's now sorted. I'm having the offside rear blemish sorted next week - the one I kissed the island kerb with.

Just took the Z1 for its MOT and was told that there is an advisory for a 'slightly buckled wheel'. Clearly it didn't fail on it, so it should be reasonably safe. However, not knowing much about wheels I have to ask a couple of naïve questions: 1) Can it be regarded as safe? 2) Can it be repaired? 3...
