Fingers crossed the water-ingress is the brake-light as that’s an easy fix…mine was the bitumen type seal between the bodywork and frame that holds the roof in place had dried out and broken down…it’s not a difficult fix, but it does take time and patience (and the back of a contortionist) HTH

Camshaft position sensor/engine type
This is probably simple stuff but…. Difficulty in starting especially when hot together with occasional and indiscriminate drops in revs lead me to believe the cam shaft sensor and exhaust sensor (depending on engine type) are up the swanny…couple of basic questions though 1. My Zed is unhelpfully O...

Hi,
Yup I've got an OEM chrome and leather one in good order,
Or a walnut veneer one also mostly good but has small split at the base (can't really see when it's fitted and doesn't compromise fit)
If you PM/DM me your email I'll send you pics

Re: New rear window fitting?
The German window is good, although I found I couldn't get the clamps to close off the zip, every time I used them it pushed the zips open again...I had to stitch it shut. As far as the canvas is concerned, use a butter knife or rounded spatula to run the canvas back under the beading...you can seal...

Silicone lubricant spray works the same as Gumpifledge, it expands the rubber slightly, cheaper and easier to obtain alternative.

Did this last week,as a job its ok just a bit fiddly, but is mostly obvious, a few tips though...have the roof open and slightly ajar as it takes off the tension and makes it easier, also at the end i found it easier to stitch the ends to stop it coming apart, rather than placing the clamps...

The window is all in and the zip ends are done. just a few tips if you are going to do this, that will save you time...if you get it right 1st time it'll only take about 30-45mins...however.. 1.
