Hardtop for sale.
Sadly due to unforeseen circumstances I’m having to sell my black Z3 roadster hardtop. It’s in good condition, there’s also the fitting kit, and hard top storage bag.
I’ve not listed it on eBay yet because I’m hoping one of my fellow enthusiasts will want it first.
£600.

Code reader is an Autel maxidiag elite, not a Chinese copy. The 02 reading ok and fluctuating as it should on live readings Stft seams to work ok, disconnect a vac line and it goes positive adding fuel to compensate. Ltft seems to be stuck at -21%, even when a vac line unplugged. Just seems weird lo...

Re: Z3 Cold engine RPM
Thanks for the quick response. To reply to your questions, Yes its the M44 1.9 engine, and its the start up when cold problem. With the previous MAF i did disconnect but it made no difference, but ive not done it with this new MAF sensor ( ill try tomorrow ). Ive checked all the bellows ( ok ) and a...

Re: Z3 Cold engine RPM
Well after all the advice and not listening regarding the aftermarket MAF sensor :head: , i replaced and reset everything. The next morning i started the car in a very heavy frost and everything was brilliant, the revs were a lot higher, and it seemed very smooth. The only problem is after two days ...

Thanks colb, In respect of the measurement it didn't really move above 3.5. yep I'm going to do exactly as you recommended, just doing my research for best quality and price maf sensor. Re: Z3 Cold engine RPM
After all the great advice, today I did a bit of further investigative work. Checked all the rubbers and couldn't find any leaks. When plugged into the code reader the MAF gave a reading of 2.63, I then cleaned the maf, it went up to 3.1, then dropped back down to 2.6. Any ideas if the running measu...

Thanks colb, thats great advice and exactly what ive been looking for. Ive already put a new icv valve on, and cleaned the Maf sensor, (but not with the correct maf cleaner though). Re: M44 Coolant pump refusing to `come out'
Hope you don't have the problems I had jonco, mine had also been in 15yrs, and after two days of many many problems I had to drill the water pump out and meticulously break it up with a hammer!! The plastic impeller had wedged into the end of the pump, which wouldn't allow it to come out!! Good luck...

Thanks fellas for the advice, I've taken the exhaust back, and got a full refund, I suppose you pay for what you get. ( £140 ), prob my nativity but just can't get my head around that they are making exhausts for our cars that don't fit!!

Re: Why are things never straight forward ??? !!!
Thanks geordie, yes the one that I removed and have now had to refit also had the area flattened ( original exhaust ), but I wondered if all replacements were the same, and that they needed 'squeezing' to fit, or that it was just my luck that I got a brand that needed doctoring.

Ok, and can there be any issues caused through the engine not getting up to temperature.
Or am I going to have to strip it and change ( like I should have done in 1st place)

Thanks everyone, covered most angles there. Firstly don't think there is any air in system because heater is working lovely, I do think it's running a little rich though especially when starting, she's a bit 'agricultural' and you can sometimes smell fuel. Is it that the thermostats not opening full...

Engine temp after water pump change??
Hello, I recently changed the water pump, due to my car having the original plastic pump in. But since doing so, the temperature seems to be a lot lower around the first mark on the gauge. With hindsight i should have probably changed the thermostat, but didnt. Is the car ok? is it doing any damage ...

Re: Water pump stuck in block.
Well 3 days in, and success the water pump is finally out. I've had to drill very carefully around the edge of the pump ( not catching the water pump housing ) then tap the centre spigot breaking it away. Eventually after much pulling and pushing and hitting with a hammer it's out. The reason for it...

Has anyone got any tips for removing a stuck water pump. But the...
