Re: Advice needed on replacing petrol tank straps.

Hi All.This is an old post but I thought I would update it as it may help someone who is struggling with an advisory . I can confirm it is not possible to replace the petrol tank straps without lowering the sub frame. However there is a work around. There are two straps, one large and one small. The s...

Hi Wookee. He did well.I recall Mike Fishwick describing it as a chinese puzzle.
Have you managed to get it back on as don't forget it now has the drop links attached which will make the job even more of a puzzle.

Advice needed on bleeding brake system please.

Hi All.I've just put in a reconditioned ABS unit and replaced the discs, pads and callipers along with a few other pieces on my 1999 2.8. I am now ready to bleed the system using a Sealey pressure pump. Can anyone tell me if the ABS unit requires any special attention? I don't anticipate it will need...

I had to cut mine out.Cut it in the centre with a Dremel then attach mole grips to each half and hammer on the grips to move it.

I found just the opposite. The hose fitting fits snugly against the calliper body and I thought it likely if a washer was fitted the primary seal would not work.

An unusual air bag question.

Hi all. When an air bag fires I understand the cover flips out of the way to allow the bag to expand. I know from previous threads that the cover over the passenger air bag can be prised up manually so it hinges backward. Can the same be done with the steering wheel bag?

Anyone had any experience of the Autel range of diagnostic tools. I need to clear an airbag light on my Volvo but am looking to buy something that can work on the Zed if necessary. The Autel EU 702 has been recommended.
