Unless an indicator bulb shows WHITE light it should not fail. It should be pass and advise. This was told me by the local VOSA man several years ago and still is true. However, how mean do you have to be before you can afford to change a bulb or two to make sure your car passes it's M.O.T.. Why do ...

Just a meet up for a natter and a drink. Sept 13th.
Hi everyone, some of you will remember that last year an impromptu and informal meet was held at the Trent Port pub at Gainsborough, attended by 9 cars if I recollect rightly, up to now we have 10. Absolutely David, this is by far the best way to get the most use/wear out of rear tyres. All it costs is a few ££ at your local tyre house to swap them on the rims and re balance.

Regarding brake pipe replacement, copper will far out last steel pipes but they are very difficult to re-use. By that I mean when you try to loosen the steel union on a copper pipe it will twist the copper pipe very easily and ruin it. A better alternative is the older cupro- nickel type of pipe, mo...

If you put the car in gear and crank the starter does it try to move or not? If it tries to move it's unlikely to be the pressure plate, more likely hydraulic fault. If it doesn't try to move the clutch itself is faulty/broken.

You don't need "definitive" measurements at this stage Del. What you need to be able to do is simply compare a given measurement from, say point A to point B on both sides of the car as you already have in measuring the height from ground the wheel arch. This should then tell you if there ...
