Hmmm, can't remember I'm afraid. I don't think I replaced the barrel though. Must be able to purchase from dealer though and wouldn't have thought too expensive.

Re: Help! Wipers stopping when stationary

It could be something like that Robert.
My other car is a T4 van and the only problems I've had with it have been chafed wiring for the horn and throttle. I'll see if I can identify the wiring and module when I next have some free time. :bawl:

Re: Help! Wipers stopping when stationary

Thanks for your replies John, Alec and motco but I have had my Z3 for 7 years and am well aware that the wipers slow down when idling at lights. I maybe wasn't clear enough that the issue was that they stopped completely when idling and did not resume when we moved off. They only restarted when the ...

Hi, I've searched the forum and knowledge base for help with this but haven't found anything. Hoping someone recognises the fault or can point me in the direction of a suitable thread. Re: Locking issue; actuators or wiring??

Thanks BladeRunner919 and RobertT for your swift replies :) It now makes sense to me that the problem is mainly the driver's side so at least I can put the passenger door back together. I was going to go ahead and repaint the driver speak grill anyway so I'll investigate the lock on that side instea...

Locking issue; actuators or wiring??

Hi guys and gals, I've taken my passenger door card off to lube the window runners and spray the speaker grill and thought I should try and figure out my locking issues before I put it back together. 1. Using the key in the driver's side locks and unlocks both the driver and passenger side locks. I ...

So far so good stevie_a, although have avoided moving the seat about too much in case that's what caused it. Passed the MOT in any case and enjoying being on the road again. Thanks again for your help.

Airbag reset/diagnostics help required in Glasgow

Hey chaps.

Does anybody have a diagnostics kit or airbag reset tool in Glasgow or the central belt? If not I suspect I will end up buying one rather than paying the garage to plug it in but thought I'd ask first.

Cheers,

If you do decide to replace the camshaft sensor then check with the dealer if you can return the new one if it doesn't solve your problem. The guy in Glasgow said I could, which made me feel a bit easier about gambling my £95 on it. Turned out it seems to have worked tho :)
