Yes i tried to post a picture but could not as said it was too large. I have a 6 cylinder 2 litre z3 year 2000. It looks from the diagram that you posted that it is an air pump. Can this be dismantled? One of the rubber pipes coming off this looks suspect (deteriorating). I suppose this could cause ...

Hi Gents The old girl started missing a couple of weeks ago so thought I had better change the plugs. Seemed OK for a couple of weeks then started again over the weekend so thought it must be one of the coils. But which one? Process of elimination. Also noticed a tapping noise. YESSS!! you can take the door card out if the door is permanently locked. Take the passenger seat out and roof down to give you room to work then take all of the bits off as per door card removal then after a lot of huffing and wiggling about managed to get it out with out any damage. Hi Guys
A bit of advise if anybody knows. My instrument cluster (as above) seems un-repairable. Topaz has one from a crashed 2.2l that appears to be in working order and with a lower mileage.
Is there any reason why this should not work ok in my 2.0 litre ??

Loads of information to digest! Think I will remove the instrument cluster then re plug to see if I can re-boot. Other than that it seems like a replacement instrument cluster.
