Today, just used one of those steam machines that you use on clothes and curtains and whatnot. I fully extracted the belt, smothered it with steam and quickly wiped it with a MF cloth. It retracts considerably better now

Great job! I am replacing the rocker cover gasket and thought I would replace the Vanos seals while I have it all apart anyway. Just waiting on the parts now. No other work will be done.

Hey Vanne I just want to confirm......
You only had the intense vibration when accelerating hard right? I can go 150KPh with no issues, just hard acceleration with it happening at change of auto gears. Moderate acceleration with no issues.

Hi, if you cannot get the parts then you can laminate over existing surface you have, or even perhaps spraying it. Hi, I just replaced mine on the 2.2i. I got the platinum ones with the 4 arc points all went in just fine with no gap adjustment required. I cant remember the brand sorry but if you go to a supplier website and indicate your vehicle it will show you what you require. Hope this helps. Cooper

Someone above mentioned that he had issues removing the fan and took out the rad.
Not required to remove rad. Once you loosen the fan off unclip the fan shroud and move them both up and out together. Easy!

Looks like the same stuff, kneed-able putty that sets rock hard that you can file into shape. Great for those deep scratches in wood prior to painting as well

Have a look under the boot carpet {RHS} and ensure that the electrical connection is connected. When I bought my car someone had disconnected it, now it is working. Two months later another forum member had exactly the same problem and solution!

I just pulled mine out [just the bulb] and replaced it with a 50 cent replacement. Looks kind of like a Christmas tree light bulb. No need to drill and solder and all that crap.

I did my footwell strip LED lighting at $2 each side. I changed the Festoon interior light for an LED one which is very crisp and bright and uses a fraction of the power and no heat!

Installed a set of green LED strips in the foot wells, wired to the centre light so what the light does the foot well lights do. Came up a treat
Next thing will be to wire up the green LED strip to the plastic wind blocker so it glows around the edges and in the etched Z3 behind each headrest.
