Re: Experience with non OEM 2.8-3.0 replica bumpers?
Update - got one manufactured by Diederichs. Quality and fitment wise it is on a very acceptable level. Material is ABS plastic - same as OEM but it didn't come primed as the OEM one which shouldnt be a problem for a proffessional painter. Regarding number plate base, fog lights, side markers and as...

Re: Space saver wheel
Im pretty sure E36 and E46 models 316-325 use exact same 15" and E46 316-328 models exact same 16" space saver wheel. Im saying pretty sure, since RealOEM only shows part number for steel rim and not for the tire. Cross checking the part numbers for steel rim, they are same (36111095069 fo...

Experience with non OEM 2.8-3.0 replica bumpers?
I was looking into upgrading my 1.9 front bumper to a 3.0 one (51118400160) but it seems there is no stock for new OEM ones and used ones are hard to come by since most of the salvaged cars have front end damage ore the bumper has been already badly repaired. I found that there are 4 manufacturers t...

Re: Aftermarket front wings. Any good?
It’s a bit of a risk I suppose given that it’s a copy part but if the paint job is good then how far out could it be? They also offer to colour match if you send them something - probably the old panel. If it is flat paint and something dark I guess it is not an issue but I can't remember seeing a ...

Z3 3.0i Roadster info stickers
Could anyone with a 3.0i roadster post photos of the VIN sticker with weights and axle load limits under the bonnet, and the tire sizes + pressures sticker in door jamb? Im planning an engine swap for my 1.9 and would like to know if there are any differences that should be considered when I'm regis...

Re: Aftermarket front wings. Any good?
Just curious, there are plenty of Z3-s sold for parts in UK on ebay, isn't it cheaper to source a rust free-ish used OEM fender, treat it for rust protection and then paint it? I managed to source right side one off a salvaged UK Z3 from Latvia for 50 EUR (45 GBP) but the left side was sadly damaged...

Re: DID YOU KNOW....diff noise revelation!!!
Hey guys, it is an old topic but just to point your attention to one maybe important fact - BMW is not using just any foam there and its purpose is not sound isolation. Sound isolation from diff whine is just a positive side effect. They are using a very special structural foam that is actually a li...
