Re: owners manual

If you're after the content, it's available here:
https://www.bmwz1.co.uk/z1manual.htm
(thanks to Jet, I believe)
If you're after a physical copy to accompany the car, I can't help I'm afraid (mine's in German, and I'm keeping it anyway)

Re: Green Z1 For Sale

Looks a good buy to me; hopefully we'll be welcoming the new owner to the forum soon. If we do, I'll be recommending that when they change the tyres they put the correct profile on the rear (or have I been in lockdown too long?)

Re: Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB

I've had a go at using IMGUR to show the Bremen in place: https://i.imgur.com/NHzhBJq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OKGGwUJ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/JPcxLxC.jpg First drive went well, but I've yet to activate the "nav from the phone interrupts the radio" function, which looks like a very neat sol...

Re: Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB

Agree that the blaupunkt probably is too retro for the Z3 (especially with the tape slot) - CD43 looks good tho'
I'd love to post some photos of mine, but I get "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." - don't know how you got round it?

Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB

So I finally bit the bullet and bought the retro blaupunkt radio - thanks to TJS for drawing it to my attention. First impressions: Looks very smart - the plastic is a perfect match for the console and you can select an illumination that matches BMW orange well Operates well (not perfect, but hopefu...

Re: Seats. Quick question

Very snazzy pattern you have there, good luck with the re-trim. I can confirm that the OEM yellow cloth also has the 3mm backing (looks more like felt than foam in my case). Mine was retrimmed last year by b-trim in Enfield, who did a pretty good job - i don't remember how much they charged, but it ...

I don't know AL 00399, but I am very familiar with AL 06863 (urgruen over gelb), which, having tarted up beyond all recognition, I am thinking about selling. 47,000 km, 2 previous owners, full history, looks mint. Let me know if you are interested...

Enjoyed this recent review of the z1:

Unicorn felt

Yes indeed, today I took delivery of some new yellow seat cloth (with purple fleck). It is back in stock at BMW: Part No. B51.92.2.212.131
Get yours now! (Although note that it is not cheap, and neither is fitting thanks to BMW’s decision to glue it to the base)

Seatbelt fitting

So as part of a wider interior refresh, I have bitten the bullet and gone for some Gelb seatbelts to replace my current black ones. My question is: how difficult is it to swap them? It looks simple enough on the diagram on Jet's Ziki, a 45+5Nm bolt on the seat and a 45+5 Nm bolt behind the bulkhead ...

Re: Anybody know what wheels these are?

The Manual says 2.0 bar (28.4 psi) fronts, 2.3 bar (31.3 psi) rears - although google disagrees with those conversions, and as Ivor says that's for 17" standard wheels

I don't know anything about nuts or studs, but I wonder if your coolant is a bit low? I understood that the arrows marked the 'minimum'. No doubt would be picked up at Inspection 1 anyway, but maybe one to keep an eye on. Toby

I don't have any experience yet, but I am now in need of a new side sill (looks like someone jacked up the car wrong when I had a wheel straightened), so I have been in touch with Edeldesign Tuning, who offer a carbon sill - will let you know how I get on.

I'm glad you are pleased with the outcome, and don't feel too bad about the costs - I had mine done in February for a lot more than that. In spite of the extra expense, one thing they forgot to do is apply the grey PTFE tape to the inside trailing edge of the wing (where the door slides up). I've on...

I can't guarantee results, but it might be worth giving Kabbert of "www.z1-online.de" a call on: Germany 0 23 71 45 33 4; as their catalog lists: "Fensteranschläge in PVC für die Tür links und rechts (insgesamt 4 Teile) Bei BMW nicht mehr lieferbar. art. nr. 900027"; which may be...
