I assume you have tyre size at rear = 245/40 ZR 17. Then the rim on both should be 8.5J x 17 ET41

I suggest that you check the idle speed valve. It can be clogged, especially as our cars are getting older. Easier to give support if you mention what is not working. Motor totally silent and dead? Have you checked the fuse and so on.
One common problem is the microswitch at the softtop frame is broken, the one that checks if you have lifted the front end manually.
