Re: Air Con, cleaned and re gassed stops working?
If the system needed regassing then unless it's due to some work that required depressurising the system, the only other reason it would need regassing is if it's leaked out. Usually the leak will be from the condensor rad which is probably old/holed/rotten. Get the system regassed with dye in it - ...

I've had works done on my other car (not my Z) at AJ Trimmers in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire.
Andy Stenning is the guy there & he did absolutely top work for me & others I know.

It won't fail an MOT but it's never best practise to mix two different tyres on the same axle.

Re: Battery dead and won't charge?
Some chargers require the battery to have some residual charge before they can "detect" there's a battery connected - so won't charge a completely flattened battery. You could try calling a recovery service and see if it will "jump" from their starter pack - might just be enough ...

Re: Cars can be Coronavirus casualties too
9 year old battery will be why it's going flat so quickly. Batteries are only designed to last 4-5 years at most. You've done well to have one last that long. Funnily enough I just replaced the battery in my Coupe - it was dated Feb2011 so was close to 10 years old. I also had the bubbling issue, to...

May just mean a lambda sensor has failed.

Re: Head light bulb upgrades , any recommendations
The Osram Nightbreakers is the strongest legal bulb accoding to tests, but my personal experience is that the lifetime of those are short. But you can definitely see the difference. Which is why I recommend the PIAA bulbs. They're as bright, if not brighter than Nightbreakers, but are extremely lon...

Re: Seat belt guide
It's a very common problem and to replace them is a big job as you have to dismantle the entire seat to get to the fixings from the inside.
I have seen neat little "Z" metal pieces that folk use to repair them.

Interesting comment on FB about that car: "De Reyghere Emmanuel wheeler deelers is just fake, it was my car who they bought and restored, but in the program itself, they lied a lot and did not tell the truth about the past of the car. The car could legally not drive on the road again because t...

I used one of these - plugs into the CD changer port so you select CD on the headunit and it toggles between the CD slot and and the Bluetooth unit. Works really well! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-Music-Handsfree-MP3-CD-Changer-Adapter-BMW-E36-E46-Z3-Business-Radio/223506467460?_trkparms=aid...

Re: Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB
I did think quite seriously about buying one of these as my z3 M Coupe came with a rather naff Sony stereo in it that just looked out of place and lit up the wrong colour. But I decided that the SQR46 probably looked a little "too" retro for the Z3 - more suited to an E30 or E36, so instea...

Recently bought a Z3 M Coupe - fantastic piece of kit and values only going one way.
I doubt you'll find a cheaper time to buy than right now - Covid19 lockdown has created economic uncertainty not seen since they great depression of the 1920s and everything has been devalued as a result.

Try disabling the internal sensors? Can't remember how you do this but there's a mention of how to in the owner guide on my MC.

Lights-on Buzzer gone AWOL
Hi, first post & a problem. Recently bought a Z3-M and jumped out of my skin the first time I switched off the engine with the headlamps on with the darned annoying buzzer. Now a few weeks in, the buzzer has gone AWOL. So OK I'm no longer jumping everytime I turn off the engine at night, but at ...
