Re: Z1 Will not start
Bazzer, Had exactly same problem with “brand new” fuel pump supplied by BMW dealer in SE England. Independent dealer fitted it - initially worked fine and then two days later stopped working. The garage had to take it to franchise dealer to check it and they refitted with new part. At c £450(?) a po...

Re: Indicator relay
Hi Robert,
This subject is mentioned in a post from Felix - he states that the relay is located inside the steering column /steering wheel needs to come off to access.

Re: Which tyres for our Z1 ?
Hello Frederic,
Just had 4 new Toyo’s delivered to me here in UK. Manufactured 51w/20. Rating is 93 W XL, which I’m told is the only one produced by Toyo for UK. Do your tires have same rating?

Re: Removal lower bodypanel
Robert,
Don’t know if this link is of any use to you?
http://bmwz1.co.uk/ziki/doku.php?id=bodywork
It would be great if someone could post a YouTube tutorial on how to remove /replace panels for the Z1

Rust spots on silencer... should I be overly concerned?
Evening all, Please see photos of rust spots on rear silencer. I know the silencer is “double skinned” and I suspect this has been caused by previous owner/storage company running the car for thirty minutes or so, to top up the battery, resulting in water build up in exhaust? I’m thinking of sanding...

Re: Fuel Pump
Pat, thank you for your response and offer of assistance - it’s appreciated. I’m a bit of a novice and this site is full of really helpful information. I’ve emailed classic-shop@bmw.de to see if they offer the 10% discount and, if so, I will order a new pump from them. Good point re replacing the tw...

Fuel Pump
Hi, Let me introduce myself, I’m Neil, and a new member of the forum. Recently purchased a Z1 which has sat untouched for 12 years, 23 years after I sold my first Z1; so I’ve definitely got the Z bug! I’ve used the search facility so I think I know the answer to this question but would be very grate...
