Hi Robert, It's not a big deal to replace fuel pump. You must be careful to remove carpet to not damage it and then the tricky part is below the metal cover (4 screws)... to unscrew the big ring which is closing the tank and holding the pump mechanism. I had such issue some months ago, it was front ABS sensor.
I cleaned the sensor with brake cleaner but it was not enough. Wire was faulty.

The socket wrench is stuck by the lower part of the seat...

Hello Ian, This belt is not only the fan belt BUT the waterpump belt, that's explaining why the engine overheated ! In order to change it, it is not that complicated. Yep, exactly, I have them on M3 and Z1 and I am definitely satisfied

Grab them while you can because as I wrote in a different post, it seems Toyo is manyfacturing batches once in a while. I had to wait several months in 2021 until they were available again.

Half DIN is maybe the wrong wording, not in height but depth ;-)

Considering the mirror is hold by the center I would insert 2 loops of thin rope on right and left (between the mirror and the shell) and then pull evenly. It should come off.

I finally received my 4 Toyo TR1 tyres, yum-yum :D
They have been manufactured end of last year. If you need some good tyres, I would suggest to order them while they are available

I am very lucky because it seems Toyo released a batch of TR1 : They have been unavailable for at least 2 months and today few webshops are offering them :geek:

Sorry for late answer as you probably already solve this point... you can definitely to replace the inner fuel pump at a fraction of the cost of the whole unit sold by dealer. Remove Fuel pump, check Bosch reference and order the same one. It is then a max 30 min job to swap them.

Hello Pat,

Emmanuel is suggesting exactly the same, to hold the engine, and lower the front subframe.
This part is unique to Z1 and welding properly done is reliable.

I agree, BMW fuel hose is definitely much better quality than other hoses that you can find on the market.
