I spent the weekend in North Wales with my wife (Friday/Saturday). - an evening walk to the pub revealed two Zeds at the Phesant hotel in Llangollen (grey Z4 and Laguna Blue MZ3) - obviously together (parked up with a polite 'don't ding my doors' gap). also a Z3 with chrome roll over hoops at the Wh...

doclip's view is a good summary I believe. On a hot dry day, they are pretty well matched, the M slightly quicker. On a wet day on a twisty road, there is NOOOOOO way that the the M would lose a Z4 3.0 (particularly an si). Probably no way it would catch it in the first place. The M is probably more...

Insurance surplus for Aero Kit?
Hi,
can anyone tell me what was the additional insurance cost to them when they added an Aero kit to a Z4 please?
- i've been quoted £200 more per year plus an additional £200 excess - IF I FIT JUST THE SIDE CILLS!!!
- surely this must be an operator error. :/
advice pleaaasee!

Hardtops are pointless. - I would not include this in a buying decision. I drove all year with a hood. No issues. Clear winters days are superb with the roof down!! :zmurf: (and hat on!) in addition, I think that the later car (newer shape?) should have a lined hood (better/warmer etc) The early car...

Standard - AUX socket
Hi,
Can anyone help with these two questions pls?
- Is there an 'aux' input socket fitted as standard to late (2007-8) Z4 coupes?
- If you connect an I Pod to it, do you see track names on the Nav screen (prof. nav)?
- Many Thanks!

Hi If your car has a BMW service history, they should be able to tell you what's been done to it. I don't recall a knocking noise at the back (that's usually the linkage on the propshaft on manual cars). When my spring broke, the warning sign (in hindsight) was a 'tinkling' sound for a few days. Thi...

didn't they say the same thing about the current Z4 (i.e. that there would be no M)?? - there probably will be, but I think that the limited market means that they don't differ too greatly from the standard cars (i.e. in metalwork as least). Therefore you can deduct from the comments that there will...

Hi Nick,
If you really want to know if the speakers ae their (and perhaps not working?) move the seat forward, get a 'non marking prising tool' (e.g. a dessert spoon with a flat/wide handle) - use the handle end to prise the grill off)
- it just clips in and takes 10 secs.
Regards.
