I usually state with every car that they are not allowed to fill up the screenwash before the service, if they do it anyway i make them take it of the bill...
So annoying that they do that.
Good service, seems you have the right garage as well to do it your self.

Hi, Let me introduce myself, I’m Neil, and a new member of the forum. Recently purchased a Z1 which has sat untouched for 12 years, 23 years after I sold my first Z1; so I’ve definitely got the Z bug! Re: Fuel Pump
To access the fuel pump, don't you need to remove the lining in the boot?
Or is there a better way, just curious, as I was told by my local garage that a fuel pump repair was going to be very costly due to the extra work to access it
thnx

Never heard that that was the case. I always understand that the cost to produce was to high, but of course if you have to replace body moulds every 4000(?) units that would make sense too...

IS this repairable (e.g. using fiberglass or something), a new panel will cost abt 1500€ including painting...
Anybody had experience with this?

Re: Hard starting?
So the garage did not replace the NRV but added another one into the fuel line (by the local Expert). I am going to replace the pressure regulator this weekend, see if that makes a difference, because if the fuel does not flow back in to the tank via the NRV it could flow back via the regulator. Fin...

That will be part of the next step. I don't like the idea of the fuel pump to be replaced as this would mean a stripping of the car to get to the fuel tank.
