Thanks guys, Nice to see she's still going strong.. 8-) Interesting they fitted the dastek chip - I took it to Dastek themselves and the oem map was working so well with the gruppeM and exhausts that Gerry saw no point in outlay for about 1.5% gain iirc.. car made 345bhp as-was, 351 with unichip, sa...

Anyone heard of the whereabouts of M 8LUR??
Hi Folks, Juts stopping by to sell my old spare set of rear ZM wheels Some time has passed since I sold M 8LUR to a young couple a cpl of years back. I believe it went back up to Estoril, Pretty distinctive Zeemax ZMR with custom bonnet, 84mm quad Eisemanns, lowered on ACS, Uprated brakes etc. If an...

I'd agree with Rob - on sth like the BMW straight six you'll get a lot more out of sorting the handling which is old fashioned to say the least. Foremost buy the best boots you can afford. Then look at the suspension etc. In fact in terms of grunt you'll get better gains out of the ZM by shortening ...

Does remap mean a thirstier Zed? usually the opposite under normal driving as the duty cycle is optimised but more under hard acceleration as the maf allows more air to be mixed and the fuel table is increased accordingly, which obviously gives you better peak. In normal driving an optimised map wi...

You can never have too much power  I think 380bhp would put it nicely back out there as a very quick car, these days a Z3M's performance isn't leagues ahead of today's quickest hot hatches. I'd agree not to mention getting into the actual horsepower debate - as long as you think about the rest...

I believe Alpina aren't actually allowed to make the car faster. But they do loads of other trickery with the engine like better torque, throttle bodies etc. I think Alpina's have this almost turbo like effect at 4000rpm The Pint engine is a completely different motor - BMW supplied minus engine an...

Everyone - A call to arms. Very quick to complete. Read on.. I among others am deeply concerned that the HSE, Transport Select Committee and Road Safety Lobby will seek to use the recent accident to, once again, bring pressure to bear upon the BBC to change or worse still, shelve Top Gear. M Blur, I think it all depends on the individual car. I have never seen 2 TVRs which perform the same and they rarely put out the quoted bhp. My fathers SEAC had a full engine rebuild by V8 Developments which included various modifications. The main benefit of the SEAC is that the body is kevlar, a...

1.26? The M5 did 1.26.2 so I guess it's either 1.26.1 or 1.26.0 That makes it faster than the M3 CSL by about 2 whole seconds and the GT3 by about 1.8s :D It's a fairly tight course.. but the Z4M loked okay tho a bit twitchy under braking - and usual understeer on the tight turn-ins.. reports tho a...

Compared with even the regular current BMW range the ZMs are pretty soft IMO. Yes - the M roadster WILL eat away at you! Particularly in terms of your bank account, in terms of tyres, fuel, and upkeep.
